Brent Morehouse M.S.

Exercise Physiologist / Spine Kinesiologist

McGill Method Certified Practitioner

Level 1 Neurodynamics Practitioner (NDS)

Brent Morehouse specializes exclusively in assessing and treating chronic and complex low back pain, with a practice designed for individuals who have not achieved durable resolution through standard care pathways. His work is grounded in the McGill Method—an evidence-based framework used to identify symptom-provoking movement patterns, postures, and loading strategies, and then guides a staged recovery process from symptom control to restored functional capacity, to athletic performance.

Brent is a McGill Method Certified Practitioner (MMCP), completing the certification process under the direction of the Back Fit Pro faculty, in 2024, after more than a decade of advanced study through Professor McGill’s clinical summits and practitioner intensives. His continuing education emphasizes rigorous reproducible assessment techniques, clinical reasoning, and progression planning for complex cases.

Pain to Performance commonly serves active-minded adults, recreational athletes, tactical professionals, and high-performing individuals who have exhausted conventional conservative care (including physical therapy, and injections) and/or have a history of surgery, recurrent flare-ups, and elevated movement pain sensitivity. The clinical objective is to:

  1. Identify the primary mechanical triggers maintaining symptoms,

  2. Remove key provocations via targeted spine-sparing strategies, and

  3. Rebuild tolerance and capacity through individualized, evidence-informed progressions—ultimately supporting a safe return to training, work demands, and sport when appropriate.

With 30,000+ hours of one-on-one coaching and applied treatment experience, Brent combines extensive field application with formal academic training (B.S. Kinesiology; M.S. Exercise Physiology). His work bridges performance science and spine rehabilitation through a structured, analytical, outcomes-driven process with measurable progression criteria.

DISCLAIMER: Brent is not a licensed physician and does not provide medical diagnosis, imaging interpretation, or medical treatment. He operates as a low back rehabilitation specialist applying the McGill Method framework to guide mechanical assessment and movement-based intervention. When appropriate, he collaborates with surgeons and other licensed healthcare providers to support comprehensive care and continuity across the clinical pathway.
